DETROIT, Mich. – In their second meeting this season, the Golden Grizzlies took care of business against the Warriors. Both the men's and women's team had a successful day in Detroit.
On the women's side, the Golden Grizzlies took a commanding 152-86 win, and the men earned a 130-106 victory.
Grace Albrecht,
Maya Dobry,
Sophia Davis, and
Ronja Riihinen got the Golden Grizzlies going with a first place finish in the 200 yard medley relay (1:46.37).
Harry Nicholson,
Christopher Palvadre,
Sofus Balladone, and Micah Sheffer also took first place in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:30.57. In the 1650 yard freestyle,
Mia Englender (17:24.58) and
Reagan Reetz (17.32.87) secured second and third place. For the men,
Nicholas Karel Subagyo narrowly missed first place, coming in with a time of 15:52.15.
Micah Scheffer put up an impressive time in the 50 yard freestyle, earning first place with a time of 20.73.
Ronja Riihinen also took first in the same event, posting a time of 24.13.
On the boards,
Ellie Chalifoux took first place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dive, scoring 275.55 and 282.45 respectively.
Liam James also had a podium finish against the Warriors, scoring 278.93 in the 1-meter dive.
The Golden Grizzlies will be back in action for their final regular season meet at home Friday at 4 p.m.. They will take on the Cleveland State Vikings on Senior Day. Recognition will begin at 3:30 p.m. with meet to follow.
