Greenville, NC. - The Oakland Men's Golf Team made a final-round surge to finish in seventh place at the East Carolina Intercollegiate.
The event saw the Grizzlies improve each round, firing rounds of 305, 301, 298. Freshman
Robert Burns lead the Golden Grizzlies with a career-best 6th place finish, highlighted by a final round 68, the lowest round by all competitors in the event. Graduate student
Anthony Comito shot 74 in his final round to top off a 31st place finish. Sophomore
Ellis Kinnaird finished 37th, highlighted by a second-round 71.
Luke Kelly and
Edward Rowe rounded out the starting lineup with a 61st and 78th place finishes, respectively. Competing as an individual, Junior
Bhavneet Sohal had a 25th place finish with rounds of 75,72,79.
The Golden Grizzlies have two weeks off until they compete at the Don Benbow Invitational hosted by Butler University.
