ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland Golden Grizzlies men's and women's track and field team officially announced its indoor schedule ahead of the 2024-25 season.

The Golden Grizzlies men's team will take part in 14 meets, with the women competing in 13, which spans from December to March. Oakland will open up the 2024-25 season this Friday (Dec. 6) as it heads to both Allendale and Saginaw, Mich., to compete in the GVSU Holiday Open and the SVSU Holiday Open, respectively. The men then travel to Boston, Mass., for the Boston University Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener Saturday (Dec. 7), the only meet the men compete in that the women don't.

Of the 14 total meets, six are in Michigan as Oakland will visit Grand Valley State a season-high three times. Saturday, Jan. 18, the Golden Grizzlies compete in the Mastodon Invitational, hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne in Fort Wayne, Ind., as a precursor to the Horizon League Indoor Track & Field Championships.

The team rounds out the indoor season in Fort Wayne, Ind., to compete in the 2025 Horizon League Championship, slated for March 1 and 2.

The team looks to build off its successful 2023-24 indoor season that saw a first-place finish, four second-place finishes and six third-place finishes at the Horizon League Championships. Of the 11 top-three finishes, nine were individuals, with the other two coming from the Women's 4x400M race and the Women's Distance Medley Relay Race. Of those nine individuals, all but one return as Romario Jackson and Blake Foster (Weight Throw), Yami Albrecht (One Mile), Justice Stewart (400M), TJ Brooks (800M), Abby Jackson and Ashley Quinn (800M) and Erin Hegarty (3000M) make their return.
