ROCHESTER, Mich. – Junior Leah Bieniewicz secured Oakland University Softball's 4-3 win over Green Bay in walk-off fashion in #HLSB play Saturday afternoon with multiple others recording outstanding showings at the plate.

Green Bay started out three up-and-down with two strikeouts coming from Sydney Campbell. Maci Brown began her career day with a first-pitch triple over the head of the left fielder in the bottom of the first through the rest of the offense left the junior on the corner.

In what was a mirror performance by each team, Green Bay scored a run off an RBI single to first for the 1-0 lead as the Golden Grizzlies responded by freshman Jenna Johnston's first career home run over the fence in left center field to tie the ball game.

A leadoff double by the Phoenix in the sixth set up for two runs to be scored for the 3-1 edge by the visiting green and white. Madi Herrington singled up the middle on a 3-0 count, followed by by Taylor Carraway's single to shortstop.

Bieniewicz landed an RBI single (advancing to second off the throw) to left field as Herrington scored making the game 3-2 with the Golden Grizzlies threatening once again. Kamryn Troyer's sacrifice fly to the outfield granted the tying run across once more as the game moved on to the seventh inning.

The Phoenix went three-up-three-down in a pivotal top of the seventh from for Oakland with DiPrima at the plate. The White Lake native delivered a single that zoomed past the pitcher and cruised up the middle of the field for a base hit as a put-out at second allowed for a fielders choice for Krizka to reach base with one out.

After Ruhlman popped up to the shortstop, the Golden Grizzlies' scoring hopes seemed to be put in jeopardy. The pitching arm of the Phoenix then thew two-straight walks to Herrington and Carraway, loading the bases with Bieniewicz up to bat.

A 2-2 count with two outs reflected on the scoreboard at the OU Softball Field as the aluminum from Bieniewicz delivered a solid, sound barrier-breaking single to right center field that green-lit the walk-off victory and Oakland's fifth #HLSB win.
