INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On Monday, the Horizon League announced its annual #HLMBB All-League accolades with
Jalen Moore a First Team selection and
Trey Townsend as Second Team.
Both student-athletes have posted 30-plus point games a combined six times throughout the 31 regular season games with each reaching career highs in the process. Townsend had an even 30 against Toledo, Boise State, and Robert Morris while Moore held 37 against rival Detroit Mercy.
Moore sits third overall in scoring in the league with an average of 19.6/contest while Townsend finds himself eighth at 16.4, respectively. Townsend also ranks sixth in the conference with 7.7 boards per game.
The senior is 20th overall in the NCAA in assists per game at 5.6, 24th in total assists at 156.
This is Moore's third-straight All-League First Team accolade while this is the first All-League selection for Townsend after an All-Freshman Team honor his first year in a Golden Grizzlies jersey.
The Golden Grizzlies will begin #HLMBB Tournament play on Thursday, March 2 at 7:00 pm on ESPN+ against Northern Kentucky.
