Hugh-Plott Named 2023 #HLTF Alfreeda Goff Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On Friday, the Horizon League released its 2023 #HLTF Alfreeda Goff Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Year with Alex Hugh-Plott earning the men's award for Oakland University Track & Field.

The two-time Nike #HLTF Field Athlete of the Week is atop the Horizon League's Men's High Jump standings with the 13th-best height in the country of 2.20m (7'2.5"). This puts the Grand Rapids native in a tie with powerhouse programs like Mississippi State and Ohio State.

Hugh-Plott now owns the school record in the event, breaking his own marks all throughout meets this season, leading the league from start to finish ahead of the 2023 #HLTF Indoor Track & Field Championships on February 25-26.
