WESTLAKE, Ohio - The Oakland University Men's Golf Team finished up their third event of the 2023 Fall season this week at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational, hosted by Cleveland State University, at Lakewood Country Club. The Golden Grizzlies, sitting in 3^rd place after day 1, finished in 7^th place in a field of 15 teams, with a 3-day total of 848 (-4).

Senior Yaro Ilyenko lead the team with tied for 4^th place finish with scores of 68-68-71 (-6). Freshman Matteo Rocco, making his Golden Grizzly debut and playing as an individual, fired a final round of 66 (-5) to earn a tied for 12^th place finish at -4. Freshman Robert Burns and Sophomore Luke Kelly both tallied a 54-hole total of even par 213, good for a tied for 30^th place finish. Sophomore Ellis Kinnaird got T-48^th with a total score of 217 (+4) and Freshman Ben Willis shot 220 (+7) which resulted in a 64^th place finish.
 

The Men's Golf Team have one more event this calendar year at the Musketeers Classic hosted by Xavier University, on October 16-17.
