Cincinnati, Ohio. - The Oakland University Men's Golf Team finished their final event of the Fall season today at the Xavier Invitational at Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Golden Grizzlies, sitting in 3rd place after Day 1, finished today also in 3rd place in a field of 11 teams with a total score of 869 (+29). 

Freshman Robert Burns led the team with a tie for 7th place finish with a total score of 212 (+2). Both Sophomore Luke Kelly and Graduate Student Anthony Comito fired a three-day totals of 218, good for a tie for 15th place finish. Freshman Matteo Rocco fired 230 (+20) to finish tied for 51st. Senior Yaro Ilyenko led the team in the final round with an even-par 70 to finish at 233 (+23), which resulted in a tie for 59th place finish. Graduate Student Mitch Lowney, competing as an individual, shot 232 (+22) for the tournament to get a tie for 57th place finish. 

The Golden Grizzlies now head into their offseason and look forward to their spring season, which begins in February in St. Augustine, FL.
