Indianapolis, Ind. - Men's Soccer goalkeeper
Finn Jurak has been named Horixon League Under Armour Defensive Player of the Week!
The native of Canberra, Australia anchored Oakland's defense this week, snagging four saves as he held Wright State to a shutout on Oct. 14 in Oakland's 5-0 home victory. The fifth year goalkeeper had several key saves to keep Oakland in the lead, while also playing the full 90 minutes for the fifth time this season.
This is Jurak's second time this season being named Under Armour Defensive Player of the Week, joining Northern Kentucky's Nic Lemen as the only other players to win the award more than once. Jurak previously won the award on Sept. 11th after a season-high eight saves in a 3-0 Oakland win against Cleveland State.
Jurak looks to hold down Oakland's back line once again as they host Louisville on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.
