ROCHESTER, Mich. – Unveiled on the
program's Twitter account on December 14, Oakland Golden Grizzlies baseball has announced their 2023 schedule.
Winning a program-record 31 games in 2022, Oakland's upcoming slate consists of 56 contests – 30 on the road, 22 at home and four at a neutral-site, which will come against the Big 12 Conference's Kansas Jayhawks at The Depot at Cleburne Station in Texas from February 24-27.

As a reminder, the UIC Flames departed for the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) beginning with the 2022-23 academic year, meaning the Horizon League now has six baseball-sponsoring members.
At a still to be determined location, the 2023 Horizon League Championships will be held from May 24-27.
INTERESTING NOTES
- The campaign begins with a three-game set in Beaumont, Texas against the Lamar Cardinals, a 37-win team last season who is returning to the Southland Conference after a one-year stay in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC)
- The first home game is Tuesday, March 7 when the Mid-American Conference's (MAC) Eastern Michigan Eagles visit at 2:30 p.m., the first of two home dates against the Eagles with the other coming on March 28
- This second Eastern Michigan game begins the season's longest homestand, a 10-game stretch that lasts through April 10
- For the second-straight season, Oakland will play both the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans, making the trip to Ann Arbor on March 8 and East Lansing on April 12
- In addition to Eastern Michigan, the Golden Grizzlies have home dates against four other MAC opponents – the Bowling Green Falcons (March 14), Miami (Ohio) RedHawks (March 29), Central Michigan Chippewas (April 4) and Toledo Rockets (May 9) – as well as road trips to Bowling Green (March 15), Oxford (March 21) and Mount Pleasant (April 25)
