KEWADIN, Mich. – The Oakland Women's Golf team came out on top this past weekend as they finished first in the A-Ga-Ming Invitational in Kewadin, Michigan for Head Coach Sarah Burnham's first-ever tournament win in her first outing.

Overall, the Golden Grizzlies totaled plus-33 over 72 par for 897 (300-297-300) total for the entire invite. 

Freshman Bridget Boczar took second overall for the Golden Grizzlies out of 50 competitors in the invite scoring a plus-four score of 220 (75-71-74). Close behind her was sophomore Nateda Her as she tied for 5th place scoring a plus-seven over par score of 223 (75-74-74) along with senior Emily Fleming as she tied for 10th place scoring plus-12 score of 227 (74-74-79).

Additionally, freshman Grace Boczar finished 26th with a plus-20 score of 236 (76-78-82), just ahead of sophomore Ashley Chin tied for 30th with a plus-22 score of 238 (85-70-73).

Notably, freshman Paige Scott competed as an individual in the invite placing third-overall with a plus-five score of 221 (76-75-70), respectively.  

Placing second with only three points behind the Golden Grizzlies was Central Michigan at 900 total, followed by Western Michigan placing third with 910, respectively.

The Golden Grizzlies will be in Yorktown, Indiana next as they compete in the Cardinal Classic on September 19-20.
