ROCHESTER, Mich. – On Monday, Oakland University Men's and Women's Soccer student-athletes Michael Sly Jr. and Kendra Zak were named Student-Athletes of the Week after weekend performances.

Sly tallied five saves in 20 shots faced, allowing one goal in the team's 1-1 tie against Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday. Sly has a 83.3% save percentage in his three appearances so far this season with two starts. 

Zak and company wrapped up one of the hardest non-conference slates in the conference with a 1-1 tie to Western Michigan on Sunday as the West Bloomfield native hit the equalizer with three minutes to go. As a team, Oakland has allowed only four goals in eight games.
