ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland University Head Men's Basketball Coach
Greg Kampe has been named a 2022 Michiganian of the Year by The Detroit News, the publication announced on Friday.
Kampe is one of ten individuals honored on the annual list after 38 years as the Head Men's Basketball Coach and making countless contributions to the surrounding community.
As featured in The Detroit News, Kampe's daily walks provide an opportunity to give back to the homeless while also serving as a spokesperson for Lighthouse of Oakland County, an emergency shelter for men, women, and children in need.
