HER LEADS GOLDEN GRIZZLIES AFTER DAY ONE AT NCAA REGIONAL

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Oakland University Women's Golf wrapped up day one of the 2022 NCAA Regional Monday afternoon at the U-M Golf Course with two days to go.

Through the 71 par, 6265 yard course the Golden Grizzlies' leader is Nateda Her after day one with a score of 78 (+6) as the freshman is currently sitting in a tie for 47th. Teammates Veronica Haque and Syndey Martens are tied for 56th together each with 79, respectively.

Rounding out the top five for Oakland were Amalia Shahzan and Ashley Chin who finished day one in a tie for 59th and 62nd, respectively, with scores of 80 and 81.

The Golden Grizzlies are 12th of 12 teams so far just 14 strokes back of 11th-place Virginia Tech as Arkansas sits in first with 291 ahead of Washington and host Michigan in a tie for second in 293, respectively.
