ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland University Men's Track & Field Athletes Jimmie Williams and Alex Hugh-Plott were announced as qualifiers on Thursday to the NCAA East Preliminaries in Bloomington, Indiana.

This is the second-straight year Williams has made the East Prelims as the grad student slid in the Men's 400m list after throwing down a 46.58 seconds lap that has been in the top ranks since the Raleigh Relays which served as the season opener for Oakland.

Hugh-Plott lept a height of 2.10m (6'10.75") at the Golden Grizzlies invite as the Grand Rapids native chases the ever-elusive seven-foot mark. Hugh-Plott's effort ranks 38th among all high jump qualifiers.

The NCAA East Prelims will be May 26-28 in Bloomington, Indiana at the Robert C. Haugh Complex.
