WOMEN'S GOLF 12TH AT NCAA REGIONAL

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Oakland University Women's Golf finished 12th in the NCAA Regional Wednesday afternoon at the U-M Golf Course.

Amalia Shahzan would once again lead the Golden Grizzlies in a tie for 39th out of 66 competitors plus-15 over 71 par in the 6265 yard course as she carded a 228 (80-76-72). Next up would be Veronica Haque in a tie for 54th in 236 (79-76-81) for a plus-23 score.

Nateda Her came in 56th overall for Oakland at 238 (+238) while Sydney Martens finished 59th with a card of 245 (+32), respectively. Ashley Chin would then round out the group of five for Oakland in a tie for 64th.

The Golden Grizzlies would finish 12th out of 12 teams with an aggregate score of 942 (316-312-314), plus-90 over par.

San Jose State, Virginia, Arkansas, and Michigan will all advance as a team out of the regional in first through fourth, respectively, as the Spartans will win with a score of 862 (+10).
