GRIFFITH POPS OFF IN GAME ONE, GAME TWO RESUMES SATURDAY

CHICAGO, Ill. – Lauren Griffith's homer capped off a 5-0 shutout of UIC from Oakland University Softball Friday afternoon as the team continued its winning streak at Flames Field.

Jen Krizka was replaced at first by Arieanna Grammatico from her walk before advancing to second from Jessie Munson and to third off Shannon Carr's RBI single to right field to go up 3--0 behind UIC's error by the catcher. One final run would cross as Carr scored on the second error by the Flames in the inning for a 4-0 edge.

UIC would get one hit the rest of the way as Griffith would homer to left field to finish off the blue and red by a score of 5-0 in Chicago.
