TRACK TO COMPETE IN PRESTIGIOUS MEYO INVITE

ROCHESTER, Mich. – The prestigious Meyo Invitational is on deck for Oakland University Men's and Women's Track & Field at the Loftus Sports Center on the campus of the University of Notre Dame on February 4-5.

Last weekend at the Jet's Pizza Invite, Jimmie Williams broke the school record in the 400m dash with a new mark of 46.85 seconds to place himself 24th in the NCAA. Four years ago, Williams first broke the school record in the same event at the Meyo Invitational with a previous time of 48.01 seconds, a 1.16 second improvement.

The Meyo Invitational features a slew of Power Five and non-Power Five teams with prominent track programs from around the country including but not limited to Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa.

Oakland still sits in many top spots across the Horizon League as the season continues on. After this meet, the Golden Grizzlies squads will travel to Grand Valley State University on February 11-12.
