ROCHESTER, Mich. - Jimmie Williams and Ellie Voetberg of track and field were named Oakland Student-Athletes of the Week presented by Prairie Farms.

Williams broke his own school record on the final day of the 2022 #HLTF Indoor Track & Field Championships as the grad student propelled himself to three titles. First, Williams busted out a 21.28 second 200m dash to take the crown before doubling in the 400m with a new school record, Horizon League record, and facility record to stop watches at 46.54 seconds. All three records were then broken by the Men's 4x400m Relay team in 3:10.82, of which Williams played a part. William's effort netted him Championship Outstanding Performer.

Voetberg doubled in the 3000m and 5000m to take third in both as the freshman was named Newcomer of the Year by the Horizon League. Voetberg posted times of 9:57.9 and 17:10.14, respectively.
