ORLANDO, Fla. – Oakland University suffered a 6-0 loss to Ole Miss on the third day of The Knights Classic Presented by Knight Pass to go 2-2 in the early season on Sunday afternoon.

To start the game, Oakland went three up and three down before the Rebels were able to get two on in the bottom of the first, stranding both as Madison Jones caught a pop up. In the second, Ole Miss now racked up four strikeouts against Oakland as the Rebs brought four across the plate in the bottom of the frame.

For the next four innings, the Golden Grizzlies would only send three batters to the plate as the Rebels would punch out 13 OU batters. 

In the top of the seventh, Oakland's Jenna Krizka reached first off a hit-by-pitch ahead of OU's first hit of the day from Madi Herrinton in a single to left center to advance a pinch-running Hannah Chadwell to second. Unfortunately, the Rebels' defense would hold for the strikeout to end the game at 6-0.

• Pitcher Mia Konyvka started the day, receiving her first loss of her collegiate career in four innings of work with six hits in 16 batters faced
• Sydney Campbell came in at relief for two innings with one hit and two strikeouts
• Herrington was the only Golden Grizzly to get a hit, going 1-2 on the day

The final game of The Knights Classic Presented by Knight Pass for Oakland will be tomorrow, February 28 at 6:00 p.m. against NFCA Receiving Votes team and event host UCF.
