ROCHESTER, Mich. – One final regular season meet for Oakland University Men's and Women's Track & Field is on the docket as many Golden Grizzlies athletes hope to set top marks at the SVSU Tune-Up hosted by Saginaw Valley State University on Friday, February 18.

Four school records were set last weekend at the GVSU Big Meets on Friday and Saturday with the men's Distance Medley Relay sliding into 30th nationally in the event with a new time of 9:50.57. Two 800m runners established new standards themselves as Terrance Brooks and Maddi Leigh crossed the line in 1:51.75 and 2:11.44, respectively, for both men's and women's record boards. Finally, Alexis Hunter set a new school-record distance of 11.83m (38'9.75") in the women's triple jump. 

Two athletes as well as the Distance Medley Relay are still ranked in the NCAA's Indoor Performance List as the relay team is 30th while Jimmie Williams and Alex Hugh-Plott are 37th and 50th in the Men's 400m and Men's High Jump, respectively. 

This is the final regular season meet for Oakland ahead of the 2022 Horizon League Indoor Track & Field Championships at Youngstown State on February 26-27.
