ROCHESTER, Mich - The Oakland Women's Golf Team will be competing in their last invite of the fall at the Chippewa Invitational at the Birmingham Country Club in Birmingham, Michigan October 17-18. 

The individuals competing in the Chippewa Invitational this week are Bridget Boczar, Ashley Chin, Emily Fleming, Paige Scott, and Savannah Haque. Additionally, Nateda Her will be competing individually, along with Mariella Simoncini, and Grace Boczar.

Most recently the team competed in the Shirley Spork hosted by Eastern Michigan as they came in third place. The Golden Grizzlies have a remarkable record so far this season will placements in the top three spots in all of the invites competed, most notably winning it all at their very first A-Ga-Ming invite in Kewadin, Michigan scoring a plus twelve over par final score of 897.

Bridget Boczar leads the team averaging 74.33 for the season, and following her is Emily Fleming averaging 75.11. Rounding out the top five players for the season so far are Ashley Chin (76.89), Nateda Her (77.22), and Grace Boczar (78.67) with impressive statistical standings. 

The Chippewa Invitational consists of 36 holes with 18 split each day with a 10:00 am shotgun start each day.

The teams competing in the Chippewa Invitational are Western Michigan, Detroit Mercy, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Toledo, North Carolina A&T, Loyola, and Bellarmine.
