ROCHESTER, Mich. - Jimmie Williams of men's track and field and Ellie Chalifoux of swim and dive have been named Oakland Student-Athletes of the Week presented by Prairie Farms.

Williams toppled the OU school record in the men's 400m dash with a new time of 46.85 at the Jet's Pizza Invitational at SVSU on Saturday. The school record was previously 47.30 as Williams has now posted the 24th-fastest 400m time in the NCAA. Oakland now holds the top four times in the men's 400m. 

Chalifoux had an outstanding performance on the board in the regular-season finale for the Golden Grizzlies, earning a 217-78 win over Cleveland State. Chalifoux earned a first place finish in the one-meter board, tallying a 278.70. In the three-meter competition, the sophomore scored 271.80, good for first place and a sweep for the second-straight weekend.
