
ALBERQUERE, New Mexico – The Oakland men's golf team sits in 13th place after day two of the NCAA Regionals and continue to be led by
Thomas Giroux who is tied for 43rd after carding 76 (+4) on the day from the UNM Championship Course.
Chris Handy finished tied for 57th after recording a 76 (+4), totaling 150 (+6) after two rounds, followed by
Colin Sikkenga who is tied for 60th after a two-round total of 152 (+8).
Yaroslav Ilyenko shot a 78 (+6) Tuesday, carding a 153 (+9) after two rounds. Ilyenko tallied two birdies on the day and finished tied for 63rd while
Kyle Petrovich rounded out Oakland's top five golfers with a 79 (+7) for the day and is in 69th place.
Oakland sits in 13th place after day two with a two-round total of 602 (+26). Oregon State holds the lead with 556 (-20).
The Golden Grizzlies will be paired with Prairie View A&M for the third and final round with the first golfer teeing off at 9:20 a.m.
