INDIANAPOLIS — Five Golden Grizzlies earned Horizon League honors, as the conference office announced its yearly awards Wednesday afternoon. The quartet of redshirt junior third baseman Madison Jones, redshirt junior first baseman Cammie Brummitt, junior outfielder/catcher Lauren Griffith, and sophomore pitcher Sydney Campbell garnered First Team honors, while sophomore catcher Jen Krizka was named to the Second Team.
The four All-League First Team selections tied for the most in school history, as Oakland's 2003 team was the only other to achieve the feat. The five overall selections were OU's highest amount in a single season since 2015.

Jones finished with All-League First Team honors for the second time in her career as a Golden Grizzly. On the season, Jones is batting .395 with 11 doubles, six triples, seven home runs, 24 RBI, and a school-record 46 runs scored in 38 starts. She leads Oakland in several categories, including triples, home runs (T-1st), stolen bases (15), on-base percentage (.462), slugging percentage (.736), and OPS (1.198). In the conference rankings, Jones holds top-five marks in batting average, runs, doubles, triples, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, stolen bases, hits, and total bases. The Romeo, Mich. native has also made a name for herself around the country, as she ranks seventh nationally in triples and ninth in runs per game (1.21).
Jones broke school records in career home runs and runs scored in a season during the 2021 campaign. She hit her 21st career home run against UIC (4/24) to surpass Sarah Hartley ('16 alum) in the all-time category. Jones scored her 44th run of the season versus Purdue Fort Wayne (5/8) to break her previous record mark of 43 runs set in 2018.
"Maddy has remained a threat in our lineup on multiple levels," fourth-year head coach Lauren Karn said. "Her ability to hit for power, contact, and steal bases makes her very hard to defend."

Brummitt has batted .372 with 12 doubles, one triple, six home runs, and 26 RBI en route to First Team accolades for the first time in her career at OU. She leads the Golden Grizzlies in doubles (12) and hits (51, T-1st) while also ranking third on the team in batting average, home runs, RBI, slugging (.606), and OPS (1.014). In the Horizon League, she holds top-10 marks in batting average, doubles, RBI, slugging percentage, hits, putouts (248), and chances (262). Against Cleveland State (4/9), the Glen Allen, Va. native hit a school-record three doubles in four at-bats. She garnered Horizon League Player of the Week (3/16) after hitting .412 with one triple, three home runs, seven RBI, and six runs scored in the IUPUI series. In the Oakland record book, Brummitt is just three doubles shy of tying the school record for doubles in a season.
"Cammie has set the tone at the top of our lineup all season long," Karn expressed. "Her confidence and consistency have been a huge key to our offensive success."

Griffith notched First Team honors after batting .392 with eight doubles, seven home runs, and 32 RBI. She tops the Golden Grizzlies in RBI, home runs (T-1st), and hits (51, T-1st) while ranking second in batting average, on-base percentage (.436), slugging percentage (.615), and OPS (1.051). To add, her season RBI total of 32 is tied for fifth-most in program history. The Grove City, Ohio native possesses top-five HL marks in batting, RBI, slugging, and hits. Griffith was recently named Horizon League Player of the Week, as she batted .524 with three home runs and nine RBI over a six-game stretch against PFW.
"Lauren's willingness to do what's best for the team has led to great success for her," Karn said. "Her growth throughout the season has been really fun to watch."

Campbell was one of two pitchers in the conference on the First Team. She closed regular-season action 15-5 with a 1.82 ERA in 138.2 innings pitched. The LaGrange, Ohio native leads Oakland in several categories, including wins, complete games (16), shutouts (3), WHIP (1.05), strikeouts (77), and batting average against (.249). She has proven to be one of the most valuable pitchers in the Horizon League, as she holds top-five conference marks in wins, innings pitched, strikeout-to-walk ratio (5.83), walks allowed per seven innings (0.67), ERA, shutouts, complete games, and least walks allowed (12). Nationally, Campbell ranks seventh in the country in walks allowed per seven innings and 18th in strikeout-to-walk ratio. The sophomore went 2-0 with a 1.17 ERA, one complete game, and eight strikeouts in 12.0 innings of work in the Green Bay series en route to earning League Pitcher of the Week for the first time in her career.
"Sydney has worked extremely hard on her craft," Karn stated. "Her presence and leadership from the circle have been unmatched."

Krizka earned Second Team honors to round out Golden Grizzlies on the All-League list. Offensively, she has batted .310 with seven doubles, four home runs, and 31 RBI. The Joliet, Ill., native ranks second on the team in RBI, walks (13), and hit by pitch (3). She also holds top-five OU marks in doubles, on-base percentage (.391), slugging percentage (.474), OPS (.865), and hits. Defensively, Krizka has thrown out six baserunners stealing, which is tied for the third-highest total in the conference. One of her most impressive performances of the season came against Green Bay (4/3) when she went 2-for-2 with two home runs and a career-high six RBI. Krizka also came up clutch with a walk-off sacrifice fly versus Northern Kentucky (3/20).
"Jen has done a great job at managing our games behind the plate and calling games for our pitchers," Karn said. "Offensively, she's been consistent in her production in a tough spot in our lineup."
