ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Marcus Nellum, Emily Schaub, Chase Novak, Yami Albrecht, and Hannah Hall all took first in their respective events at the Grizzly PR Classic.

Nellum won the 400 hurdles (53.64) and took second in the 110 hurdles (14.92). Albrecht won the 1500 (3:55.72) followed closely by T.J. Brooks Jr. in second (4:01.23) while Eddie Harrell III placed second in the 800 (1:53.07) while Brooks Jr. took third (1:53.22).

Hall won the women's high jump with a height of 5 ft., 7 in. 

Schaub won the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.74 while Hannah Coverdill placed third (16.41). Azsah Bradley took second place in the 100 (12.22) and third place in the 200 (24.85). Meagan Earles placed second in the 400 hurdles (1:04.24).

On the men's side of the field events, Chase Novak won the long jump with a distance of 22 ft., .75 in. and the triple jump (45 ft., 10.75). Kyle Piotrovsky placed second in the shot put (50 ft., .5 in.) with Romario Jackson in third (48 ft., 4.5 in.).

Over at the hammer throw, Gabby Cyriax finished second with a distance of 163 ft., .25 in. while Paige Sanders finished third in the long jump (17 ft., 5.5 in.). 

In the pole vault, Dana Tessmer finished in second place with a height of (11 ft., 11 in.) followed by Megan Kusler in third (11 ft., 5 in.).

The women showed up strong for the 5000 with Ashley Vican placing second (18:13.45) followed by Seanna Schmidt in third (18:19.64), Brooke Hinkelman in fourth (18:23.84), and Megan Nichols in fifth (18:41.10). 

Freshman Maryam Sheena placed third in the 1500 (4:37.36). Maddi Leigh finished second in the 800 (2:13.70) followed closely by Ashley Quinn in third (2:14.57) and Maddie Brown in sixth (2:23.16). 

The Golden Grizzlies continue their competition on Apr. 24 at the Elaine Leigh Track and Field Complex.
