INDIANAPOLIS - The Oakland women's tennis team was picked to finish sixth in the 2021 Horizon League Preseason Poll, announced by the league office on Friday and voted on by the league's seven head coaches. The Golden Grizzlies received 12 points.
 
UIC was picked to win the league with six first place votes and 47 points followed by Youngstown State in second with 42 points and one first place vote. Cleveland State was picked to finish third followed by Northern Kentucky and Milwaukee to round out the top five.
 
Oakland opens league play with a pair of home dual matches against IUPUI on Saturday and Sunday, Mar. 20-21, at 4:30 p.m. at the Bloomfield Tennis and Fitness Club.
