
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- After day two of the competition, the Oakland women hold their place in third with 33.5 points while the men have moved to fourth place with 18 points.
In the field events, Paige Sanders took fifth in the long jump with a distance of 17 ft., 9 in. while Lauren Christian placed fifth in the shot put (40 ft., 10.5 in). Justin Kudera placed eighth in the long jump (21 ft., 7.25 in.) followed by Alex Hugh-Plott in ninth (21 ft., 4.75 in) and Chase Novak in 12th (20 ft., 9.25 in.). Romario Jackson took 10th in the shot put with a distance of 45 ft., 1 in.
Tomorrow Azsah Bradley and Marthea Vann-Scott will compete in the finals of the 60m while Payton Sabourin will compete in the finals of the 400m. Jaylah Walton and Naomi Hallman will race in the finals for the 60m hurdles. Maddi Leigh and Ashley Quinn will compete in the 800m final.
Jake Kaupp will compete in the finals of the 60m hurdles while Napoleon Outlaw III and Junias Holmes will run in the finals of the 60m. T.J. Brooks Jr. and Eddie Harrell III will compete in the 800m finals. Jimmie Williams, Justin Kudera, Raydoffa Braziel and Kaupp will all run in the 400m final.
The Golden Grizzlies look to continue competition at 11 a.m. Sunday.
