JURUPA VALLEY, Cali. - Thomas Giroux led the Golden Grizzlies after shooting a 150 (+8), tied for 28th, after day one of The Joust at Goose Creek Golf Club as the Oakland men's golf team sits tied for 12th.
In round one Colin Sikkenga led the way for the Golden Grizzlies finishing with five-over par while Giroux followed close behind with six-over. Sikkenga finished round two shooting a 78 and a day one total of 153 (+13).
Oakland sits at 310 (+55), tied with UC Irving and ahead of North Dakota State.
Round two has been halted due to darkness and will pick up Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. The final round will follow right after the completion of round two.
