YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Amalia Shahzan tied for third with a total score of 222 (+6), while Oakland finished sixth at the Shirley Spork Invitational. 

Shahzan carded 75, 76, and 71, with three birdies in her final round. Veronica Haque tied for 12th, carding 76, 72, and 78 for a total of 226 (+10). 

Emily Fleming tied for 39th with a tournament total of 237 (+21), including two birdies in the final round. Ashley Chin tied for 44th with a three-round total of 239 (+23). The last Oakland competitor, Nateda Her, finished 57th with a score of 248 (+32). 

Oakland finished with 924 (+60) and was only six strokes behind Western Michigan in fifth place.
