YPSILANTI, Mich. -- After day one of the Shirley Spork Invitational, Oakland is tied for sixth with a score of 614 (+2), led by Veronica Haque, who is tied for seventh after carding 76 and 72. 

Amalia Shahzan sits tied for 16th with a two-round total of 151 (+7), while Ashley Chin is tied for 32nd, shooting 80 and 76. Emily Fleming is tied for 42nd with a total score of 159 (+15). Nateda Her rounds out the Oakland team sitting tied for 52nd after carding 80 and 82. 

Oakland is tied with Western Michigan and is only one stroke behind Detroit Mercy in fifth place. 

The final round will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Oct. 5.
