
NOTRE DAME, Ind. –Zach Stadinka ran to a school record in the 60m hurdles Friday night at the Meyo Invitational hosted by Notre Dame. Stadinka's time of 8.11 was good for a sixth place finish in the prelims, and will advance him to the semi finals on Saturday.
Stadnika surpassed the previous record of 8.17, which the Shelby Township, Mich. native set a season ago at the Meyo Invitational. It also marks the second straight weekend Stadnka has broken a school record. Last weekend, he posted a 4.70m in pole vault, the best mark in program history.
Malcolm McIntyre finished seventh in the 200m in 21.74.
In the high jump sophomore
Hannah Hall recorded a mark of 5'4.50, good for 10
th place.
A small group of distance runners made up the squad competing at Hillsdale College on Friday. Oakland dominated in the 3000m with all three competing women placing in the top sixth.
Megan Nichols raced to a first place finish and a personal best, 10:05.53.
Rachel Kempf was the fourth place finisher (10:22.98), while
Ashley Vican placed sixth (10:30.12).
On the men's side Shan Slater crossed the finish line in fourth in a time of 8:55.55.
The Meyo Invitational wraps up on Saturday, with the first event of the day starting at 9:45 a.m. at the Loftus Sports Center. There will be a live stream of the meet on
WatchESPN on Saturday beginning at 2 p.m.
Those competing at Hillsdale will wrap up competition on Saturday.
