ROCHESTER, Mich. – Due to a change in scheduling
, the Oakland men's basketball team will continue life on the road as the Golden Grizzlies travel to Detroit Mercy Dec. 26-27. Both games of the Metro Series will begin at 4 p.m. and air on ESPN3 from Calihan Hall.
Oakland (0-9) looks to bounce back in Horizon League play after dropping a pair of games at UIC.
Detroit Mercy (1-5), who also had its originally scheduled game against IUPUI canceled, is coming off the conference opening weekend with two loses against Wright State.
Despite dropping Sunday's game at UIC, five Golden Grizzlies recorded double figures, three tallying double-doubles.
Daniel Oladapo recorded his second-straight double-double, scoring 19 points and pulling down 18 boards. The junior went an impressive 9-12 (75 percent) from the floor, adding four steals and three assists on the day.
Trey Townsend and
Jalen Moore recorded double-doubles of their own, the first of their Golden Grizzlies career, tallying 13 points and 10 rebounds and 10 points, 10 assists respectively.
Rashad Williams and
Zion Young rounded out the double-digit performers scoring 20 and a career-best 11 points respectively.
