
UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich - On the first day of the annual Jet's Pizza Invite hosted by Saginaw Valley,
Zach Stadnika set a new Oakland school record in pole vault clearing a height of 14 ft., 9 in.
Caleb Timm got off to a strong start in the men's heptathlon placing third in both the 60m and high jump. The freshman also placed fourth in long jump and sixth in shot put and will continue the remainder of events for the heptathlon tomorrow.
Olivia Kane and
Dana Tessmer (competing unattached) placed tied for third in pole vault, clearing a height of 12 ft., 2.5 in. Sophomore Megan Kusler placed 13
th.
Emily Schaub was the top Oakland finisher in the pentathlon, placing sixth with a score of 3020 points.
Micah Dymond and
Olivia Rademacher placed 15
th and 17
th respectively.
The Golden Grizzlies will return to action tomorrow as they will compete at both the SVSU Jet's Pizza day two as well as the Eastern Michigan Can-Am Classic.
