ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland University Athletics announced on Thursday, January 16, that the NCAA has granted men's basketball student-athlete Rashad Williams' transfer waiver, and has ruled Williams immediately eligible for competition. 

"On behalf of Rashad, his family, and Oakland University, I appreciate the NCAA's thoughtful reconsideration of Rashad's waiver," said Director of Athletics Steve Waterfield. "I know Rashad is excited to play this year and represent Oakland University." 

Williams, a sophomore from Detroit, Michigan (Wayne Memorial High School), averaged 10.8 points and 1.8 rebounds per game during the 2018-19 season at Cleveland State University.
