
ALLENDALE, Mich. – The throwers of the Oakland Track and Field team had a great first day at the Grand Valley Al Owens Invite as
Olivia Rademacher placed fourth in the javelin throw by a mark of 109 ft., 8 in.
Micah Dymond also competed in the javelin, placing 17
th with a throw of 84 ft., 11 in. On the men's side,
Johnathon Sholl placed seventh with a mark of 134 ft., 5 in.
Gabby Cyriax placed eighth in the women's hammer throw recording a toss of 155 ft., 8 in., while
Nadia Lengel placed 21
st with a mark of 133 ft., 3 in.
Mary Moore placed 24
th throwing 126 ft., 8 in.
Demetri Harris was the sole male thrower from Oakland in the hammer. He placed 16
th with a mark of 142 ft., 10 in.
Oakland will continue competition at GVSU tomorrow as well as compete at Indiana State and at the Virginia Challenge.
