MILWAUKEE -
Alexa Sabbagh connected on her seventh goal of the season off assists from Nikki May and Elyssa Holfeld as No. 6 seed Oakland battled but fell, 2-1, to No. 1 seed Milwaukee in semifinal action of the Horizon League Tournament on a cold and windy night at Engelmann Stadium.

Sabbagh's tally was the first goal Milwaukee had allowed since Sept. 8 and also snapped goalkeeper Elaina LaMacchia's scoreless streak of 11 appearances and consecutive shutout minutes mark of 1069.21 which was the seventh longest in NCAA history.

Milwaukee got on the board first in the 22nd minute to take a 1-0 lead into half time. The Panthers added another goal in the 62nd minute of the second half.

The Golden Grizzlies keep fighting and got on the board in the 74th minute with some pinpoint tic-tac-toe execution. May got the ball just inside the box and slotted it over to Holfeld on the right side who in turn crossed it over to Sabbagh who delivered a one-time volley into the back of the net.

Oakland's best chance for the equalizer came with back-to-back corner kick opportunities in the 87th minute but were not able to convert.
