ROCHESTER, Mich. – Ashley Postma scored the Homecoming game winner in the 86th minute as the Oakland women's soccer team defeated IUPUI 1-0 Saturday from the Oakland Soccer Field.
 
Sophomore Sophie Wilsey was fouled inside the box with about five minutes left to play in the game, prompting just the second penalty kick of the season for the Golden Grizzlies. Natalie Abbate took the shot that was deflected to Sami Lopez who kicked it out to Ashley Postma. The junior put it in the back of the net for her second goal of the season.
 
The Golden Grizzlies (5-5-2, 3-1-1 HL) outshot IUPUI (9-5-1, 3-2 HL), 12-7 and held the 8-2 advantage in shots on goal.
 
Jaimie Leas recorded the shutout, her second straight win, tallying two saves.
 
Oakland will travel to Green Bay Saturday, Oct. 19 to take on the Phoenix at 3 p.m.
