ROCHESTER, Mich. – Susan LaGrand and Tony Eriksson tallied four first place finishes a piece as the Oakland men's and women's swimming and diving teams defeated IUPUI Friday from the Oakland Aquatics Center.
 
Oakland topped IUPUI on the men's side 194-106, while the women recorded a 178-122 victory over the Jaguars.
 
LaGrand swam to a first place finish in the 400 medley relay (3:48.60), 100 backstroke (56.20), 200 backstroke (2:04.06), and 100 butterfly (2:07.52) recording four of the Oakland women's 12 top finishes.
 
Eriksson was a perfect four-of-four in finishing first on the night, swimming to the top spot in the 100 breaststroke (56.93), 100 butterfly (49.97), 200 freestyle relay (1:23.29), and 400 medley relay (3:19.35).
 
The men and women tallied a combined 26 first place finishes.
 
The Golden Grizzlies are back at it Saturday against Michigan State beginning at 1 p.m. In addition to senior day, the match-up against MSU will serve as the 'Pack the Pool' event in an effort to break the previous attendance record at the Oakland Aquatics Center.
