INDIANAPOLIS ââ'¬" Oakland's Connor Jones has been named the Horizon League's male Golfer of the Week, announced by the league office on Wednesday for his performance this past weekend at the Rutherford Intercollegiate, hosted by Penn State.

Jones, a senior from Shelby, Mich. helped lead the Golden Grizzlies to a third place finish in University Park, Pa. this past weekend. He shot a 66 (-5) in round one, a 73 (+2) in round two and a 73 (+2) in round three for a final score of 212 (-1), placing fifth overall. His 66 score from round one marked a new career individual low round for Jones, while it also ranks tied for third in school history for lowest individual round.
