INDIANAPOLIS - Andrew Bowman, Kenton Rivard II, Kendell Jefferson and Maggie Schneider have been named to the Horizon League men's and women's indoor track and field Academic All-League teams, announced by the league office on Monday. To be eligible for the Horizon League All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale) and have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits.

Bowman, a redshirt senior from Marlette, Mich., has maintained a 3.4 GPA while studying environmental science. He placed first in the 3000m at the Fort Wayne Duals this year and recorded two first place finishes at the CMU Jack Skoog Open in the mile (4:21.19) and the 3000m (8:48.35).

Rivard II, a junior from Marine City, Mich., has a 3.54 GPA while studying pre-business administration. He placed first in the shot put at the Fort Wayne Duals (50 ft., 4.75 in.) and second place in the shot put at the CMU Jack Skoog Open (48 ft., 9 in.) He also placed second in the weight throw at the CMU Jack Skoog Open with a mark of (51 ft., 11.75 in.)

Jefferson, a senior from Wyoming, Mich., has maintained a 3.64 GPA while studying criminal justice at Oakland. Jefferson claimed the Horizon League Runner of the Week honors during the week of Jan. 22 after breaking two school records at the SVSU Jets Pizza Invite in the 60m (7.67) and the 200m (24.94). Her time in the 200m was the top time in the conference for the week, while her 60m ranked second.

Schneider, a sophomore from Davisburg, Mich., has a 3.98 GPA while studying Spanish Language and Literature. Schneider finished first in the 3000m at both the Fort Wayne Duals (9:54.61) and the CMU Jack Skoog Invite (10:16.03). She also finished 12th in the 3000m at the Notre Dame Meyo invite (9:44.92)
