INDIANAPOLIS - Oakland's Maggie Schneider has been named the Horizon League's female Runner of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday for her record-breaking performance at the GVSU Big Meet.

Schneider, a sophomore from Davisburg, Mich. set a new school record in the 5000m with a time of 16:36.85, placing third at the event. Her mark ranks her at the top of the conference in the 5000m.

Oakland heads to the University of Michigan for the Silverston Invite on Friday, Feb. 16.
