
RESULTS
AKRON, Ohio – Paul Huch raced to a meet and pool record in the 100 backstroke (47.64) Saturday during the second day of the Zippy Invitational as the men's swimming and diving team remained in first place with 1818. 5 points.
 
On the women's side 
Sydney McDowell had a solid day for the Golden Grizzlies with a first place finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.74), and a second place finish in the 200 medley relay finishing in 1:41.64 alongside teammates 
Grace Shinske, 
Susan LaGrand and 
Katie Colwell.
 
Huch also added a first place finish in the 200 medley relay in the time of 1:28.82. 
Will Gayne, 
Tony Eriksson and 
Mack Flowers were also members of the winning relay team.
 
Joe Smith followed up his recorded setting day yesterday, with another pool and meet record in the preliminary rounds of the 1 meter dive with a score of 364.55. In the finals round Smith scored 332.10, good for first place.
 
The women's team remains in fourth place with a score of 838.5.
 
The Golden Grizzlies return to the pool tomorrow, Dec. 2 for the third and final day of the Zippy Invitational. Preliminary rounds begin at 9 a.m. with the finals starting at 4 p.m.
