
CLEVELAND - Luke Morrell scored two goals while
Jimmy Todd and
Dylan Borczak each added one to spark the Oakland men's soccer team to a crucial 4-2 win over Cleveland State on Saturday Night.
Oakland's offense exploded for three first half goals and never looked back as Todd got the Golden Grizzlies on the board first connecting on his first goal of the season off a cross from Borczak in the 23rd minute.
Seven minutes later, Borczak scored off a shot from the left side of the box that deflected off a CSU defender for a 2-0 lead.
In the 32nd minute, Morrell was able to put home the rebound off a shot from
Nebojsa Popovic.
After CSU added a goal in the second half, Morrell delivered a well-timed header off a corner kick cross from
Noah Jensen for a 4-1 lead in the 55th minute.
Oakland will host Green Bay for Senior Night on Friday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.
