ROCHESTER, Mich. – Sierra Grodsinsky netted her first goal of the season as the Oakland women's soccer team defeated UIC, 1-0 on senior day Saturday night from the Oakland Soccer Field.
 
Grodsinsky's goal came in the 45th minute off an assist from Lauren Bos, her second assist of the season.
 
Jaimie Leas registered her fourth shutout of Horizon League play, making three saves on the night.
 
The Golden Grizzlies (2-11-3, 2-3-3 HL) were originally scheduled to take on UIC (4-13-1, 3-5 HL) at 1 p.m., but due to inclement weather, the game was postponed until 7:45 p.m.
 
Oakland will play in its regular season finale on the road Friday, Oct. 26 against IUPUI beginning at 3 p.m.
