
ROCHESTER, Mich. - Sullivan Lauderdale made a season second-best six saves for the fourth time while
Nebojsa Popovic recorded six of Oakland's 16 shots as the Golden Grizzlies fell 2-0 to No. 23 Wright State on Saturday at the ALS Awareness Game.
After both teams played to a scoreless first half, Wright State got on the board as Stefan Rokvic's shot hit the cross bar and fell right to the foot of Alec Philippe who was able to put the shot away pass Lauderdale for a 1-0 lead in the 53rd minute.
Popovic almost had the equalizer in the 67th minute as his shot beat WSU keeper Joel Sundell but just missed to the far right post by inches.
The Raiders added another goal off a penalty kick in the 79th minute for a two goal advantage.
Oakland continues league play at Milwaukee on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. EST.
