NASHVILLE -- Zach Sterry went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, a double and a home run while Jake Lee threw a career-high eight strikeouts in six inning pitched and only walked one batter as the Oakland baseball team dropped its season opener at Lipscomb 7-3 Friday night at Ken Dugan Field.

After his solo home run in the first inning, Sterry doubled to right center in his next at-bat in the third. Mike McGee drove in the other Oakland run in the same inning with a base hit to left center. Oakland will continue the series Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.
