Aug. 5, 2016 ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland men's basketball team have had a number of players go on to play professional basketball over the past few years. Here is an update of their 2015-16 seasons around the globe.
Kay Felder - The 54th overall pick in the NBA draft played in seven NBA Summer League games for the Cleveland Cavaliers, making six starts, where he averaged 15 points a game in 30 minutes of action. He also added four assists and 1.5 steals per contest as he looks to make the opening day roster for the defending champions.
Travis Bader - The NCAA's all-time 3-point leader played last season with NeptÅ«nas KlaipÃ"-da where he averaged 6.4 points per contest for a team that finished runner-up in the Lithuania Basketball League. Bader also rejoined Overseas Elite at The Basketball Tournament (TBT) to successfully defend their championship at the winner-take-all tournament on Aug. 2 as the team earned a $2 million purse.
Keith Benson - The two-time Summit League Player of the Year played for the NBA D-League champion Sioux Falls Skyforce. He played in 49 games, making 23 starts averaging 13.8 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per contest. Benson played in the NBA Summer League for the Minnesota Timberwolves where he played in three of four contests.
Corey Petros - Petros played for Rilski Sportist in Bulgaria last season that finished with a bronze medal and won the Cup of Bulgaria. The 6-foot-10 center appeared in 27 games averaging 8.4 points and six rebounds per game. He scored in double figures in 11 games including a 17-point, six rebound performance against Spartak Pleven on Dec. 23, 2015.
Reggie Hamilton - The former NCAA scoring leader was set to play in Japan this season but unfortunately missed the majority of this past season with an infection in his arm. Hamilton did create a vlog about his travels in basketball can be found on YouTube here.
KELLY WILLIAMS - The former No. 1 overall draft pick in the Philippine Basketball Association is in his 10th season overall and sixth with his current Tropang TNT team. He is averaging 5.4 points and 4.3 rebounds per game in 23 contests while his team is currently 4-0 in the Governors' Cup Tournament.
