Men's track - Andrew Bowman

ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Men’s track runner Andrew Bowman has been named Oakland Student Athlete of the Week for the week of May 9-16 after breaking the school record in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Hillsdale Last Chance Classic.

Bowman, a junior from Marlette, Mich., ran a time of 8:58.83 to win the event and recorded a top-40 time in the nation that should receive consideration to qualify for the NCAA East Preliminary on May 26 in Jacksonville, Fla.
