SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. - Jake Kneen shot a four-under-par 68 to end the day in third place, while Marc Norton and Jacob Johnson each shot opening rounds of 73 (+1) as the Oakland men's golf team is tied for second place after day one of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate on Sunday from Sevierville Golf Club - River Course (par 72, 6,972 yards). The Golden Grizzlies sit six strokes behind leader Murray State after posting a first round score of 288 (E), tied for the 18th best team round in school history.

Kneen is just one stroke off the tournament lead after tying the 11th best round to par in program history, followed by Sean Burgess who placed tied for 10th as an individual with a 71 (-1).
